We are offering a school environment (not a daycare) that is drama-free and uplifting so you can do what you love…teach!
We are currently looking for Preschool teachers for the full day which is 9 am - 3 pm. Each teacher is responsible for 10 students at a time. The school year begins the third week of August (Aug. 31) and ends the Thursday (May 27) before Memorial Day weekend. There will also be summer opportunities to teach as well. The pay range is $15-$17 an hour and your lunch and prep time is included in your daily rate.
Preschool teachers have many responsibilities:

Teach children numbers, colors, shapes, and letters through activities, games, and play

Develop creative lessons suitable for preschool children while following the curriculum framework

Organize activities so children can learn about the world, explore interests, and develop skills
-
Help children reach developmental milestones and invest in their well-being, health, and safety
-
Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
-
Plan and carry out lessons, play, breaks, and meals ensuring a balance of physical activity and rest.

Track children’s progress and report to parents

Develop positive relationships with children and parents
-
Communicate regularly with parents through the ProCare App and in person
-
Watch for signs of emotional or developmental problems in each child and bring them to the attention of the child's parents

Collaborate with other educators
-
Maintain a clean and safe classroom consistent with health and safety standards
-
Willingness to continue to learn by attending classes or courses to improve in the profession
These are the skills and requirements needed to be a good candidate:

Experience as a Lead Teacher
-
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
-
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
-
Excellent communication and instructional skills
-
Ability to act as mediator between children
-
Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
-
Balance between creativity and practical, solid, good judgment
-
Ability to pass Background Checks
-
CPR/First Aid
-
Child Development Associate or higher in Early Childhood Education (if no certificate must be willing to work towards getting one)
